On 4 November the InternationalConference “Global View onEnvironmental Issues in the Oil Industry”started at the Fairmont Baku with thesupport of the State Oil Company ofAzerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and IDEA(International Dialogue forEnvironmental Action). Organizationalsupport for the conference was providedby Iteca Caspian LLC and PracticalSolutions Group.The conference was attended by 250delegates, including representatives ofgovernment agencies from different countries and global oil and gas companies, as well as scientistsand leading experts in the field of ecology. A letter ofwelcome to the delegates from LeylaAliyeva, the founder of IDEA(International Dialogue for EnvironmentalAction), was also read during themeeting.Participants discussed the application ofand achievements in the latesttechnologies for environmentalprotection in the oil industry.
