Ilham Aliyev addresses participants of CATEC 201411.04.2014 15:18
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as addressed the participants of the Caspian International Water Technologies Exhibition and Conference (CATEC 2014) which has opened in Baku.
The President’s address was read out by Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov, 1news.az reports.
The address emphasizes the great importance of the exhibition and conference which displays the achievements made in the field of water supply and use of innovative technologies nationwide.
“In order to protect public health, today fast developing Azerbaijan implements large projects aimed at reconstructing drinking water supply system and taking it to the level of modern standards,” the President says in his address.
The fact that over 90 influential scientists also attend the conference which is of great importance in terms of promoting international cooperation and raising awareness of business circles of new innovations as well as the fact that around 80 companies from 24 countries are also involved with the exhibition testify to a great interest in this important event, the address says.
The President expressed his confidence that the event will open up opportunities to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and will contribute to determining leading tendencies in terms of development of water supply sphere.
