The 11th International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition12.06.2012 12:16
The 11th edition of TransCaspian, the International Transport, Transit & Logistics Exhibition, will open on 13 June at Baku Expo Centre. Since its launch, the event has played a key role in developing Azerbaijan’s transport potential, along with promoting cooperation between sector professionals in the region.
This year, over 70 companies from 15 countries are set to exhibit, with the exhibition’s floor space growing by 25%. Around 40% of exhibiting companies are newcomers to the event, representing countries such as Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, the UAE, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, and many others. Croatian companies will exhibit for the first time, and for the second year running the exhibition will feature a Latvian national pavilion.
Several Government bodies will take part alongside the commercial companies, including the Ministry of Transport of the Azerbaijan Republic, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, the Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping Company, and the State Road Transport Service of Azerbaijan Republic. Each of these exhibitors will be presenting current transport projects taking place within the region.
The exhibition will feature the latest developments in the transport industry, along with the best technology and equipment from domestic and international companies. Held in a large-scale format, the areas covered include rail and road transportation, shipping, and oil transportation. One of the highlights of TransCaspian is the participation of international ports. Port administrations from the Caspian, Baltic, and Black Seas are among the exhibitors, including the Ports of Poti, Batumi, and Liepāja; the Free Port of Ventspils; and the Baku International Sea Trade Port.
TransCaspian will be a focal point for the industry this year, with senior figures in the transport sector from Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, and Azerbaijan among the guests of honour at the event. The exhibition is a first-class platform to exchange experience with sector professionals, producers of transportation technology, and senior managers of ports, airports, stations, and the road and rail transport sectors. In this way, TransCaspian will act as a catalyst for important contacts to be established and productive cooperation to be developed.
