The autumn 2012 exhibition season kicks off in Azerbaijan in September, and Iteca Caspian along with its partner ITE Group plc will hold 10 exhibitions - all supported by Government bodies in Azerbaijan and taking place in the modern Baku Expo Center. The exhibitions are partnered by leading Azerbaijani companies and structures, including the communications partner Nar Mobile, the official airline AZAL, and the official hotels Hilton Baku and Hotel Qafqaz Point.The 6th Education & Career exhibition is Iteca’s first event of the season, taking place from 20 to 22 September. In a format that is effective for exhibitors and convenient for visitors, Education & Career aims to present a full range of services in higher education and language learning for students aged 16 and over. Over 100 institutions from 20 countries including Azerbaijan, Canada, Switzerland, South Korea and Germany will tell visitors about their education systems, allowing them to choose the best courses and programmes in Azerbaijan and further afield. Participation from national education systems has already become a familiar part of Education & Career, and this year is no different - Lithuania will present its 12 most popular institutions, Turkey is organising a combined stand of 15 educational establishments, and Belarus will be showcasing eight of its modern universities. A range of British universities and language schools will once again be represented, and taking into account the growing interest in education opportunities in Ukraine, some of the country’s leading education specialists will give three seminars entitled ‘Higher education in Ukraine’. Additionally, BP will take part in the event’s careers sector for the very first time.Education & Career is open only to senior high school students, university students, education professionals, and the parents of these students.BIHE 2012, the Baku International Healthcare Exhibition and the leading event of its kind in the Caspian Region, will take place from 27 to 29 September. Opening up new horizons for cooperation and business development, BIHE will feature exhibitors from countries such as Azerbaijan, Belgium, Turkey, China, Russia and Germany presenting medical and laboratory equipment, medicines and drugs, supplies, disinfectants, orthopaedic products and much more. Exhibiting companies include Siemens, Draeger and Toshiba. Since its launch, BIHE has been the main meeting place for professionals of the medical industry. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Healthcare of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Dental Association and sponsored by HB Co. Ltd.Also taking place from 27 to 29 September alongside BIHE 2012 are Stomatology Azerbaijan 2012 and Beauty Azerbaijan 2012. Companies from Azerbaijan, Belgium, Italy, Latvia and Russia will be exhibiting at Beauty Azerbaijan 2012, which is divided into sectors for professional cosmetics, skincare and hair products, aromatherapy, beauty salon equipment and much more. A major focus of this year’s event is on natural cosmetics, and the top Azerbaijani companies will showcase products along with newcomers to the exhibition from Belgium and Latvia. Another first for the event is exhibitors specialising in quality and safety examination and certification of cosmetics produced in, imported to or exported from the Azerbaijani internal market.As the largest construction exhibition in the Caspian and the Caucasus, BakuBuild will open the Caspian Construction Week on 17 October. With two months still to go until the exhibition opens, over 85% of available exhibition space has already been sold. Over 300 companies have confirmed their participation to date representing 30 countries, with six of these - Germany, Iran, Italy, Finland, Portugal and newcomers Greece - exhibiting from national stands. Turkish firms are once again looking towards Azerbaijan’s market by booking a large amount of exhibition space, and participation from Chinese firms has considerably increased. Firms from Azerbaijan make up 35% of all exhibitors. BakuBuild is officially sponsored by Holcim Azerbaijan.Another event in the Caspian Construction Week is Aqua-Therm Baku 2012, an exhibition dedicated to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply, sanitary ware, environmental technology, swimming pools and renewable energy. Aqua-Therm Baku is becoming more and more popular among HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) professionals. Over 60 companies from Azerbaijan, Italy, Russia, and Turkey will exhibit alongside Azerbaijan representations of firms from Belgium, China, Finland, Sweden, Japan, and others. Aqua-Therm Baku stands out with the diversity and range of the products showcased at the event, including heating systems, insulating materials, saunas, ventilators, air distribution systems, and much more.Held alongside BakuBuild, CIPS Caspian, the Caspian International Protection, Security and Rescue Exhibition, will mark its 5th anniversary by showcasing the latest developments in high-tech security, security surveillance, emergency and rescue equipment, occupation safety, and fire safety systems. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan will be exhibiting this year, as will companies from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Italy and Russia. Next up on the Iteca Caspian schedule is one of the most eagerly-anticipated events in the ICT sector - the 18th edition of BakuTel 2012, the international telecommunications and information technology exhibition taking place from 6 to 9 November. With 150 exhibiting companies from countries including South Korea, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Russia, the USA and China, BakuTel 2012 will feature the latest developments in ICT, software, satellite service equipment, broadcasting equipment and technologies and much more. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan actively supports the event, which also features participation from all Azerbaijan’s mobile operators. BakuTel is officially sponsored by “Edaps” (Platinum Sponsor). BakuTel is an opportunity to discuss Internet development as well as being a place to present equipment and sign contracts, and a key event within it is the IGF Forum organised with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. The Caspian: Technologies for Environment (CTE) exhibition will bring together exhibiting companies from Azerbaijan, France, Turkey and other countries from 21 to 23 November. CTE is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, who will also exhibit at the event. The latest developments in the efficient use of natural resources, renewables, and wind, water and geothermal energy will be showcased, alongside groundbreaking alternative energy equipment and ways to attract attention to environmental issues and how to resolve them.Leading oil companies such as BP and SOCAR are focusing on environmental cleaning and replenishment, and investing in treatment technology. This has led to a major aspect of CTE being dedicated to water treatment, soil purification and other large environmental projects aimed at mitigating the effects of long-term oil and gas field development in Azerbaijan.All this means that CTE, the largest environmental exhibition in the region, is set to create ideal conditions for sourcing new partners, market analysis and working with clients in the environmental sector.Iteca’s autumn exhibitions cover many different sectors, all of them relevant for the economy. As a key part of Baku’s economic life, these exhibitions will help to develop market infrastructure, enhance Azerbaijan’s investment climate, expand the consumer goods market and increase import and export levels.
