BakuTel 2012, the largest telecommunications exhibition in the Caspian and Caucasus regions, will be held at Baku Expo Center on 6-9 November. Over the years, the exhibition has become a leading industry event in the country and in the region as a whole. This year’s exhibition features about 160 exhibiting companies from countries including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Great Britain, Iran, China, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries. The active participation of group stands is becoming a tradition at BakuTel: this year eight such stands will feature. Among them are several regular exhibitors - the national teams from Austria, Canada, Israel, France, Lithuania, Croatia and Estonia. A national stand from Slovenia will make its debut at this year's exhibition. The national groups have been organized with support from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Republic and the relevant agencies of the represented countries. BakuTel 2012 will feature the latest developments in ICT, software, satellite service equipment, broadcasting equipment and technologies and much more. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan actively supports the event, which also features participation from all Azerbaijan’s mobile operators. BakuTel is an opportunity to discuss Internet development as well as being a place to present equipment and sign contracts, and a key event within it is the IGF Forum organised with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. The general sponsor of this year’s exhibition is Azercell. The exhibition is organized by ITE Group plc, a British company, and Iteca Caspian, its partner in the Caucasus.
